DISASTER RESILIENCE

Disaster is a serious disruption, occurring over a relatively short time, of the functioning of a community or a society involving widespread human, material, economic or environmental loss and impacts, which exceeds the ability of the affected community or society to cope using its own resources. Disaster is expected or unexpected, it could occur anytime, you nay be ready or not.

We are also beside the Pacific Ocean where most of the typhoons are formed.  We are also experiencing the Human Induced Disasters like war in Marawi. But despite all these disasters, we Filipinos are resilient. We can still smile after a disaster. We can still be able to stand up and rebuild what is broken after the disaster. Disaster resilience is one of the nice traits of Filipinos that we can be proud of.

We Filipinos are resilient but still we should be more prepared. We  must practice what to do before, during, and after a disaster. Be strong and face the disasters with calm and peace on your mind that nothing bad will happen, it's just challenges that will make you stronger and tougher.

Wanted To Learn More!

Computer nowadays is one of the favorite thing of people especially kids and teens. We use internet to surf, to play, and to watch. And I think some of us can't live without computers or internet already. Using these new inventions is fun but knowing more about it through learning is more interesting.

Learning about Internet is one of the most interesting lesson that we learned. It was really nice knowing how internet came from or who are the peoples behind it. Thinking of those peoples behind it made me realized that peoples are really genius because they made such thing that makes our life easier. I've learned so many things about the internet like search engines and many more. I've also learned about blogging. But at first, blogging was never been my thing but learning about it is fun.

Learning is fun but still there are challenges. Writing articles was never been easy for me because we need to write it in english language and I'm not good with grammars and such. There are times that when I write articles I'm distracted or I can't easily understand the theme that was given. Also time management made me slow because of so many requirements.

Despite these challenges I was able to succeed on the first challenge or first quarter. These challenges are really exciting that makes me want to learn more and to succeed.

Moving on, I will apply what I've learned on my everyday life and to become a better person. Lesson for the first quarter has ended with so much fun and knowledge that will always stay in my heart and mind. It ended but still I want to learn more.

State of  the Nation Address 2018

Speech of the President that is very important. The speech that informs us the state of our nation. Last July 23, 2018, the President of the Philippines delivered his third State of the Nation Address. It's very nice that our President knows  the problem of our nation and he accomplished so many things. His speech is meaty as they say. His words gives us hope that soon our nation will be at its nice order.

This year's SONA is full of nice words of the President. During his speech, he discussed about drugs, corruption, environmental problems, contractualization, about the Overseas Filipino Workers and other aspects of the government.  His speech about the human lives is one of the nice part of his speech. He might say harsh words but I know he really care to us Filipinos. He's doing everything he can for our sake and for the development of our nation.

We guys should hold on to our President's promise. But we should do our part. Let's cooperate and do the right thing.

No Farmers, No Food, No Future

Kaugnay na larawan

Every month of July we always celebrate the so called Nutrition Month promoting the healthy food and healthy lifestyle. This year the theme of our Nutrition Month Celebration is "Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutrisyon Aanihin". The theme means that we should plant more vegetables and fruits to gain more nutrients and to have a healthy body. Imagine the world without farmers, we aren't healthy today. Farmers plant for us to produce food that we eat. But you can be a farmer in many ways. Go and plant your own vegetables and fruits in your house.

Eating healthy vegetables and fruits is a must. Having a healthy body is your foundation in your everyday life. If you lack in nutrients you can't do all your task in a day. So we should eat more vegetables and fruits. It is more good when you eat fresh and organic vegetables and fruits. You can have these fresh vegetables and fruits in your house when you plant them. Act as a farmer in your house and plant many vegetables and fruits. Let's be productive. By planting you can also save money. Eat fresh vegetables and have a healthy diet. Exercise everyday and achieve a fit body.

Without our farmers we can't eat healthy foods but you can be a farmer yourself. Plant vegetables and fruits in your house and you'll produce your own food. Healthy foods will help you to be strong. Having a healthy diet is a good way to achieve your dreams and to have a healthy future.
